I was so pleased to be invited onto The RE Podcast for a second time, this time to talk about my research in spirituality and addiction reocvery. This topic may not seem like an obvious area of interest for students and teachers of RE, but here I'm given the opportunity to explain why a worldviews approach in RE enables us to see beyond simple binaries of religious and secular. In this conversation with Louisa-Jane Smith I outline some of different ways religious and spiritual ideas appear in addiction reocvery discourse, from ideas about Higher Power in Alcoholics Anonymous to the practice of Mindfulness as a method for managing addictive thought patterns.
