Trothwy

Thrilled to discover that my poem 'Trothwy' was published on Oct 1st (National Poetry Day) 2026 in THE CANDYMAN'S TRUMPET.

It's a fabulous issue (check out the list of contributors!!) celebrating Welsh and Wales-connected poets and poetry.

I'm grateful to Carolyn Thomas for choosing Trothwy, and to Jack Caradoc, the editor of THE CANDYMAN'S TRUMPET.

I started this poem at a workshop in 2025, in which the brilliant Ness Owen invited participants to write from inside the skull of the Mari Lwyd.

Trothwy is on page 107, but the whole issue is worthy of your time. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JOZ0VodUBjURLNm6kczpRsj7uGWFTwhc/view
